We are currently recruiting for a well established SME business based in Blackburn who are looking for a Finance/HR Manger to join the business and work alongside the MD in this hybrid role. The company has grown organically over the last few years and is well established in its field, with a specialised audience and strong customer base they continue to be well recognised in their market.

Duties will include:
  • Manage all transactional postings and reconciliation of company bank accounts
  • Report daily cashflow and manage the payments schedule with accuracy
  • Liaise with the invoice factoring company, managing the end to end payment process
  • Monitor the credit control processes and lead where necessary
  • Support managers with expenditure and discuss any variances
  • Responsible for VAT/HMRC submissions and associated payroll calculations
  • Manage the internal HR process and associated records, including contracts, appraisals, leavers and recruitment
  • Monitor all payroll figures and associated payments (pension/HMRC)
  • Main point of contact for all external agencies including bank, accountants, suppliers
  • Manage the fixed asset register
  • Attend the weekly SMT meetings and provide direction for decisions
  • Manage all the building, utilities and company contracts

The role would suit a candidate who has already gained a solid background within accounts from ledger management up to producing month end management reports. The role requires a sense of leadership and someone who can also get involved in other aspects including HR and operational processes, so experience of this would be required in order to fulfil the role.
