Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Salary: £24,240 per annum pro rata

Hours of Work: Full Time, Term Time only

Contract Type: Permanent

The Maths Department is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and engaging Maths Coach to join its high achieving team.

Role Purpose

To support individuals and small groups to overcome barriers and make progress in Maths.

  • Liaise with the Maths team and identify students that require additional support to achieve their GCSE Maths at 4 or above.
  • Provide interventions to individuals and small groups to support their progress, based on assessments by staff.
  • Feedback on progress to the individuals and Maths team members, updating and recording interventions.
  • Support the research, design and implementation of learning resources that can be used to facilitate delivery of small group and 1:1 interventions.
  • Be a strong role model and advocate for Maths and every opportunity.
  • Follow up with students who fail to attend intervention or disengage.
  • Support intensive revision sessions in year with allotted students.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Maths
  • Teacher Training Qualification (Desirable)
  • Delivering Maths to young people
  • Experience of supporting Maths to small groups or one to one basis
