Job Summary

iSmash are about to enter a vast period of expansion with at least 7 stores opening by the end of 2015. Due to our continued success and growth we are looking for an IT Manager to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team. Reporting to the Director you will be part of a cutting-edge team responsible for all IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all current IT systems, including operating systems, software applications, and peripherals
  • Providing cost effective solutions through negotiation for all aspects of the companies IT systems
  • Website rebuild
  • In-store repair management system rebuild
  • Implementation of warehouse management system and integration with existing POS / stock management system.
  • Providing reports and IT proposals to the Director
  • Assisting planning, developing and implementing the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Assisting the development and implementation of all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that IT facilities meet these needs.
  • Assisting the negotiation and administration of supplier contracts and service agreements.

Other responsibilities
  • Liaising with website developers
  • Developing the IT strategy to help the Organisation achieve its goals
  • Managing and delivering technical projects
  • Keeping current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience with Odoo, open source cloud based erp systems/platforms
  • Minimum of 5 years working within a Multisite Retailing IT environment
  • Experience with Windows 7, 8, and Server 2003, 2008, 2012
  • Networking Skills VoIP, TCP/IP
  • Telecoms experience working with DSL, PSTN, Mobile phones
  • Experience with Active Directory and management of Office 365 email
  • Ability to install, maintain, and configure all software required for the operation of the business as requested by various departments.
  • Experience of installation and maintenance of computers, servers and EPOS equipment.
  • Ability to perform configuration management e.g. configuration and maintenance of computers / servers to provide logon to proper applications, data, databases.
  • Highly self-motivated and with the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Excellent written and strong oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work across all business functions and companies.
  • Strong risk analysis with proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Personable, confident and hardworking, with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage complexity
  • Ability to act on own initiative and take ownership of projects and tasks through to successful completion
