This position will involve extensive travel nationwide and lodging at various Project sites ***

Purpose

To develop, maintain, deploy and lead a SQEP commissioning team. Support the full contract project life cycle, including support to design, factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing. Be responsible for ensuring the successful client handover of fully functioning Building Services systems.

Responsibilities

* Recruit and lead a SQEP team of commissioning engineers across mechanical and EC&I scope

* Be the company subject matter expert for all commissioning related tasks

* Liaise with clients and subcontractors and have a good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical services and commissioning together with a competent knowledge of HVAC

* Ensure subcontractors comply with Project requirements

* Manage and coordinate specialist services subcontractors commissioning of their works

* Manage the commissioning, testing and witnessing of building services to specification

* Develop Commissioning Strategies, Plans and Documentation for the project

* Execute the test and commissioning plan, covering all activities from pre-acceptance checks, setting to work and acceptance tests

* Compile and issue RAMS as appropriate

* Safe handover and post practical completion support

* Compile and issue Test and Commissioning reports

* Ensure work is carried out to specified standards, such as CIBSE and BISRA guidelines, and testing to ASHRAE standards as applicable

* Staff training and development including organisation of appropriate health and safety training

* Comply with rules/regulations, permit systems and safety requirements in force on the specific site and to promote these disciplines to all those under the Commissioning Managers control

* Must be flexible in approach to work and will need to undertake commissioning activities on site and at sub-contractor facilities within the UK

Qualifications and Experience

* You will have extensive technical services and commissioning management experience gained on a wide range of projects within multi-discipline projects.

* ONC/HNC Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

* The ability to think strategically and deal with senior personnel and subcontractors, being hands-on when required

* Have excellent I.T. skills with MS Office
