An Accounts Assistant position has arisen within an established company in Chorley who work across the UK & worldwide. Main Job Role:
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager
  • Sales Ledger & credit control duties to include chasing overdue debtors, managing daybooks, aged debtors reports and processing payments
  • Purchase Ledger - inputting invoices, arranging payment terms and producing creditors reports at month end
  • General accounts duties to include balance sheet reconciliations and having full control of the expenses ledger
  • Maintaining the petty cash system and any other ad-hoc duties as and when required which could include balancing customer payments

Person Specification:
  • Previous sales & purchase ledger experience is essential
  • Good systems and IT skills are required
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach with high levels of customer service
