Join a growing team, working closely with our Client Relationship Managers to assist clients to meet their year end compliance needs. The focus will primarily be preparation of limited company accounts or unincorporated accounts and the preparation of annual corporation tax returns.

The successful candidate should be approachable, have a positive can-do attitude and have good communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

·Ensuring that allocated Business Advisory work is performed in accordance with the Firm's policies and processes

·Preparation of draft accounts for review from client records, clearance of review points and finalising of accounts

·Initial preparation of corporation tax computations

·Alongside the manager ensuring work to be done by the client or by our team is scheduled and a realistic budget is prepared

·Opportunities to further assist the client are identified and raised to the Manager

·Arrange the timing of the tax and other business line work with the Manager responsible for the client

·Engage with the Client Relationship Manager and staff from other business lines, when required to gain a good understanding of the business.

·Monitor budgeted versus actual time spent, notifying any issues and potential overruns to the Manager on a timely basis

·Brief, train and debrief the Assistants, giving formal feedback as required

The successful candidate will have a background within practice and should have strong IT skills.Tax experience would be an advantage, as would a good working knowledge of the accounting software Sage and Xero.
