Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen within Defence for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Electrical, Automation and Control (EA&C) team in Bristol. Rolls-Royce Naval's EA&C business is a major supplier of Low Voltage electrical distribution systems to the Royal Navy and other navies. These systems, with their associated equipment, are installed on warships (frigates and aircraft carriers), submarines as well as a host of naval auxiliary and support ships. Most recently Rolls-Royce has provided the low voltage hybrid electric propulsion system to the Royal New Zealand Navy's auxiliary tanker.The role will work on the development of a wide range of marine electrical solutions and projects to meet the Royal Navy's requirements. Projects are taken from conceptual design, equipment specification and test, through to delivery of complete electrical system solutions and aftermarket support. In addition to original equipment project work the role will also be involved with the development of new electrical products for future growth in both the low voltage and medium voltage markets. The role is primarily located in Bristol with potentially opportunities for periods working at other R-R sites within the UK.At Rolls-Royce, we look beyond tomorrow.
