Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Salary: £30,000 pa
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07.00 - 16.00: Friday 07.00 - 12.00
Contract: Permanent, Full time

Maintenance Engineer - The Role:

• The efficient and effective maintenance & upkeep of the production equipment and building services used to manufacture and deliver high quality product /service to the requirement of the customer.

• To work closely with the supporting functions to continually develop our processes for improved performance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Monitor, inspect and maintain plant to ensure maximum machine reliability, utilisation and efficiency

• Working by example at all times

• Ensuring all work is carried out using best practice methods

• Communicate performance against maintenance targets

• Develop own knowledge and skills to increase flexibility through identification of deficiencies and training needs

• Managing own holidays to ensure no detriment to production

• Information boards up to date

• Support innovative projects to improve the performance of production / business

• Communicate effectively with other departments

• Ensuring that all plant / machines are capable to produce the correct standard product

• Ensure Waste / Reject levels due to machine performance are minimized

• Ensure Maintenance targets are achieved

• Ensure Maintenance costs stay in line with budget

• Ensure KPI boards are in place and up to date

• Monitor and maximise machine utilisation / efficiency

• Proactively work to identify opportunities to improve machine performance and customer delivery

Maintenance Engineer - Skills and experience:

The right candidate will have:

• Time served technical apprenticeship having gained NVQ level 3 and BTEC qualifications (preferably Electrical biased) ideally based within Power/brake/turret press, welding or rolling lines industries.

• Has shown a level of further self-development to ensure process knowledge is up to date with current legislation (i.e. IET 18th Edition) and modern maintenance requirements.

• Good computer literacy.

• Experience of PLC controls, TPM and FMEA would be beneficial.
