This role should only be applied for by someone with experience of working in practice who wishes to remain in a public accountancy practice.

Join a small, growing and dynamic team on a permanent basis offering growth and progression. You will assist in annual and management accounts preparation and related activities. Our client are part of a rapidly growing group of companies providing the full gamut of outsourced accounting and administration services to both group companies and external clients alike.

The successful candidate will be a vital part of the finance team. As a member of the team you enjoy putting your accounting knowledge into practice, majoring on high attention to detail & working with both pace and integrity. Your work will be varied, making each day different & interesting and you will enjoy all aspects of working in accounting practice.

Job description:
  • Supervision of all aspects of a growing accounting team
  • Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts
  • Liaising with external auditors and stakeholders
  • Analyse financial data
  • Regular contact with clients by telephone and in person
  • Help preparing financial information and ensure the accuracy of financial data
  • Check financial records for accuracy, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures and best practice.
  • Preparation of information and reports for internal and external use
  • Working as part of a flexible team

Person Specification:
  • Educated to Degree level or AAT Level 4 completed
  • Either studying toward or recently graduated ACA/ACCA professional qualification
  • Prior consistent experience within Accounting Practice and wishing to remain in Practice
  • Knowledge and experience using Sage and Xero
  • Proven experience helping train and supporting more junior staff members
  • Ability to commute with ease to Hemel Hempstead
