Accounts Receivable Assistant

Salary: £28,163 to £30,333 plus location allowance of either £2,623 or £984. If you are new to the MPS you will receive £28,163 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £30,333 will be via incremental progression.

Location: Across London

This is an exciting time to be working as Accounts Receivable Assistant for the Metropolitan Police Service. This means that as an Accounts Receivable Assistant, there are more opportunities for you to get involved with making London the safest global city in a time of unprecedented change within the UK's largest Police Service.

This is an Accounts Receivable role with Cash & Banking and Third Party Monies responsibilities, hence is very varied. As the role progresses, the candidate will be given the opportunity to take on new tasks and learn new skills and become involved with continuous improvement projects.

The role also acts as point of contact for user set-ups and any internal/external query relating to Bankline (banking portal). It also provides a point of contact for queries relating to third party monies.

Job role:


Resolving and clearing outstanding debt and miscellaneous receipts once SSCL have exhausted their activities, by liaising with internal stakeholders and external customers.


Responding to queries relating to Third Party Monies and Cash & Banking, including setting up/deleting users on Bankline (RBS Banking portal).


Regularly reviewing activities in all three areas, working with SSCL to streamline processes.
