Finance assistant - Freight

Are you a skilled, ambitious finance whizz with an interest in logistics and freight? Our client in North Bristol are on the lookout for an administrator to join their Finance team, as part of a department handling logistics for high profile customers.

Experience within Freight Forwarding would be advantageous but not essential. The key focus of the role is to deal with all aspects of accounting for each requirement, as well as profit reporting and irregularity handling.

Responsibilities include:

Invoicing and document distribution
Dealing with incoming invoices and charges
Finalise job accounting and close the file
All client facing invoicing and query resolution
Manage cost and revenue estimates and accruals
Monitor PFSUM and jobs showing profit and loss
Issue escalation
Archive file
Irregularity handling
Strict compliance with company policy and procedure
Liaison with external suppliers

An AAT qualification would be beneficial in this role - however experience within a financial environment would also be considered. The company have a framework in place to put someone through their accounting qualifications if this the direction they would like to pursue.
