Interesting role involving digital marketing and event planning / management for a market leading electronics manufacturer.

Marketing Specialist

Our client is a market leading Electronics manufacturer providing both equipment and services across various sectors including Broadcast & Media, Telecoms and Defence.

Due to the expansion of our client's product portfolio and continued growth due to success in established and new markets, they require additional marketing expertise.

This is an interesting role which involves working with European and UK based Sales and Marketing teams and strategies, Events Planning / Coordination and Digital Marketing.

This role is open to experience level and may suit a marketing graduate or someone with several years of experience. My client is open minded and interested to see what candidates can bring to the table.

What the role involves;

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting to deliver the European Marketing strategy as well as working closely with UK sales and marketing teams to promote market leading B2B products using Digital Marketing strategies and planning and organising events such as trade shows, exhibitions and various other customer facing activities.

  • There is a well-established European marketing strategy in place and a local marketing team in the UK. You will assist both teams in delivering the European and UK marketing strategies.
  • Develop a UK marketing strategy for low value products to increase market awareness and revenue.
  • Working alongside the European operational marketing team to help implementing European marketing strategies in terms of local logistics and support.
  • Management of marketing and communications agencies.
  • Liaising with Trade press
  • Ensure that marketing activities are kept within budget.
  • Ensure that CRM and lead nurturing tools (SAP ideally), website content management and marketing planning tools are fully maintained.

Events Planning
  • UK Sales - Event planning, including industry-leading seminars & trade fairs etc.
  • Collaborating with customers, industry partners and institutions to showcase products etc.
  • Support the European operational marketing team to help deliver/organise roadshow seminars and customer events in the UK.
  • Events lead generation follow-up

Digital Marketing
  • Experience of creating email campaigns using marketing automation software.
  • Manage digital marketing channels to engage with new and existing customers.
  • Review and introduce new and creative Digital Marketing methods/solutions
  • Increase awareness and sales of low-value market leading products.

  • Work flexibly to deliver the full range of country-based marketing and communications activities across a diverse business with multiple market segments and product ranges.
  • Be a self-starter, with the ability to use your own initiative, as well as working as part of a team.
  • To see projects through to conclusion within tight deadlines.
  • Some foreign travel will be expected as the role does involve working with the teams in Germany and occasionally in other European countries.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities and tasks both within the UK and into Europe
  • Ideally with experience gained from working within a technical, B2B environment.
  • Be an effective communicator
