Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was established as a NHS Trust in 2011, and as a NHS Foundation Trust in November 2014. We deliver a wide range of community-based healthcare services in Halton, Warrington, Oldham and St Helens, as well as some networked services, offender healthcare and specialised community dental services across a much larger geography.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our innovative team within Warrington. You will be a Health Visitor with a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in Public Health Nursing. The post holder will ensure the planning and delivery of a high quality and effective Health Visiting service within the integrated 0-19 Service to a given population of pre-school children and their families.

The successful applicants will be team workers who can manage and take responsibility for a named casework. Opportunities for working with children on an individual basis or in groups, planning and delivering health promotion programmes and multi-agency partnership working are integral elements of the role. You will be part of a dynamic team of Health Visitors delivering the Healthy Child Programme to all families. The post holder will maintain a responsibility for Safeguarding and Protecting children within their area of responsibility.

Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will provide a full induction to the organisation; mentorship and support will be offered to all newly appointed staff.

The Trust has taken the decision to recharge successful candidates for the cost of their DBS disclosure. This post requires a(n) Enhanced / Standard DBS disclosure. The current price of this is £48.43/£30.43. The Trust will pay the initial costs, which will be recovered, in installments, from your first three salary payments.
