MPI have a requirement for an Air Safety Manager to work in Gosport, Hampshire.

37 hours per week

This is a permanent role.

The salary for Air Safety Manager is £50 - 55k per annum

Main Job Description:-

To provide a Safety Management System (SMS) that is systematic, proactive and explicit regarding the approach to managing safety, including the necessary organisational structures, accountabilities, policies and procedures across the UK business. Ensuring that the safety policy and objectives, risk management, assurance and promotion, are compliant with current regulatory requirements.

Functional:

•Excellent planning ability including auditing, resource and time management.

•Ability to highlight poor practices and identify/suggest solutions and implement continual improvement methods of operation.

•Maintenance Error Investigation experience.

•Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis experience.

•Financial and budget planning.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

Essential

•Level 4 (HNC) or equivalent.

•Demonstrable evidence of knowledge and practical application of Safety Management Systems.

•Demonstrable evidence of knowledge and practical application of Quality Management Systems.

•Demonstrable evidence of knowledge, interpretation and practical application of aerospace regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA/CAA/MAA/ISO/AS)

•Demonstrable evidence of knowledge and practical application of Route Cause Corrective Action.

•Must be familiar with internal and external auditing techniques and preferably be a qualified Lead Auditor/Assessor.

•Current Human Factors certification.

Experience:

•Appreciation and understanding of aviation industry Safety Management Systems and Regulatory Authority requirements including but not limited to ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, MAOS, DAOS, CFAOS, EASA 145, Parts 21G & J, Part M, AQAP, Def-Stan.

•Strong ability to motivate, influence, drive compliance and continual improvement.

•Good working knowledge of engineering, design, manufacturing and maintenance processes.

•Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) experience is desirable.
