We are looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant & Manager on an interim basis to cover the role of Head of Finance, whilst we are recruiting for the permanent post.

You will be responsible for all finance activity across Affinity Trust, ensuring there is timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting, appropriate financial control and the finance team (of 10 staff) partners the organisation to provide insightful analysis to help drive business performance. Bring energy and an appetite for change to helping to streamline processes and systems to enable the team to spend more time on value adding activities.

Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • 5 years + Post Qualified Experience
  • Commercial experience
  • Strong communication skills

You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of:
  • Managing finance teams and helping them develop into high performing teams
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting and Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Streamlining processes and systems including reducing the time taken for month end close
  • Developing and improving Monthly Performance Review and management accounts
  • Business partnering and helping to drive business performance
  • Drafting finance papers for Senior Management
  • Managing invoicing and accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Managing reforecast, budgeting and strategy processes
  • Internal control
  • Managing external audit and preparation of statutory accounts
