To get there we need to be continually sharpening our competitive edge, maximising value through creative, effective, strategic, passionate and professional Operational teams.About the Role:The Finance Manager is responsible for the accounting and reporting of the trade investment spends across all routes to market in GB, Ire and International. You will also be responsible for:Supporting Period-end activities and financial reportingOwning the day to day relationship and delivery of numbers to Commercial FinanceSupporting any IT upgrade projects as necessary during the yearResponsibility for the PBI process across GB, Ireland and InternationalAd hoc requests to support the Commercial Accounting ManagerThis role is for an experienced commercial accountant, with responsibility for the management and development of 2 part qualified members of staffKey Responsibilities:Responsible for the preparation of robust and timely period end accounts for all investment lines across GB, Ire, and International in line with the group timetable reporting to the CAM.Responsibility for period end reconciliations for investment and PBI balance sheet accounts with fully supported and adequate documentation Responsibility for the preparation of the Commercial scorecard on trade investment, adjustments and shortpay.Responsibility for overseeing the Pepsi invoices and correct accounting of the rebatesResponsibility for the annual external PPL audit in conjunction with PepsiOwnership for the Customer Claims register and the overseeing of the audit claim process in conjunction with Customer Management TeamSupporting any IT upgrades during the year - managing the testing process Management and development of 2 part-qualified staffBusiness Partnering Day to day relationship with Commercial Finance ManagersDelivery of training to drive process compliance and best practise to the commercial functionsProvide appropriate financial support and guidance as required to CDMs/SOPS teamSupport FSS SOPS team with the shortpay process to ensure good debt managementWork with Transactional Finance to improve working capital where it relates to the investment areas.Development of a relationship with customer management across Ireland and International to help embed new ways of working and process improvements to ensure consistency across all areasAudit & ControlIdentify opportunities for process improvement to improve efficiency and controlResponsibility for Providing all necessary material for the external audit in relation to investment spend GB, Ireland, International and PepsiCoSupport CAM with the PepsiCo Audit processKnowledge, Skills & Experience Required:Good understanding of financial & accounting principlesAdvanced Excel skillsGood communicator - able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleaguesSystems: MS Office, SAP BW, Siebel, SAP R3Proactive rather than reactive with a personable communication style Ability to identify an issue and problem solve through to resolutionOperates with disciplineBackground in FMCG preferable - retailer or manufacturerQualifications:CIMA Qualified (min 1 year post qualified experience)We're committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and employees - in fact this is at the heart of our company culture and values, and we welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds.
