Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to work in a local primary school in the South Tyneside, Tyne and Wear area starting as soon as possible. The school based in South Shields are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and positive Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a passionate, friendly and hardworking team. Hours include working 8.30 - 16.00, Monday to Friday.

The role

Working as part of a fantastic Key Stage 1 team, the successful Teaching Assistant (TA) will focus on delivering one to one support to a pupil in Year 1. The successful applicant will have knowledge and expirenece of delivering tailored one to one support and will have ideally worked with pupils with challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCO to ensure the best provision is provided for the pupils in their care.

To be considered for the Key Stage1 Teaching Assistant (TA) position, you will:

Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare.
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 1 environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Ideally have experience delivering occasional one to one support.
