Our Vacancy

The purpose of this role is to provide mechanical engineering design solutions and through life engineering support from concept design through to engineering release for manufacture. Workload can vary from new projects / product designs to meet client or internal specifications through to supporting an existing client's request to upgrade or change equipment in the field.

Responsibilities include develop and lead robust technical solutions to complex mechanical design issues, creation of engineering documentation, concepts and feasibility studies, ensuring compliance with relevant design codes, legislative, class and flag requirements where applicable and liaising with both customers and suppliers.

You will be accountable as a technical approver for drawings and documentation generated in support of design work.

The ideal candidate will have proven mechanical design skills, experience in generating design calculations, knowledge of design standards and a minimum of 7 years in a mechanical or product engineering role. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is beneficial along with a Mechanincal Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
