The Role of an Account Manager (Broker Support)

As a Broker Support Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our highest value business partners. These partners place significant levels of business with Verastar and your role will be to ensure all deals go through smoothly, commission is paid on time and the partners keep coming back and placing more business.

You will also be on hand to solve queries and coach new partners on internal procedures and best practices ensuring they operate in line with regulatory standards.

As well as building great relationships with our business partners you will liaise regularly with internal departments to ensure the effective go live of new contracts and the quick resolution of any issues.

As this is a newly establish role you will work closely with your manager to support setting up the team, including establishing of new processes and reporting tools. This role will also involve some data analysis of partner activity to spot trends and patterns, supporting our business partners to drive a consistent sales performance.

The Skills and Experience of an Account Manager (Broker Support)

To succeed in the role candidates will need;
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Previous experience in account management or handling customer complaints in a call centre environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales and sales processes would be advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to solve challenges.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to spot trends.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamworking skills
  • An ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • A proactive and driven personality.
