HVAC Engineer. Chester. Permanent position.

Your new company;
My Client is currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer with an AC background to work on a large multi site based in Chester, on a permanent basis.

Your new role;
To deliver day to day maintenance and operation of the plant within a multi skilled engineering team. Tasks include-
  • Working alongside the site Chief Engineer/Maintenance Lead to ensure the plant is operated efficiently and in accordance with local legislation.
  • To adhere to the Maintenance Management system in all engineering practices, including planned and reactive tasks.
  • Undertake small installation works, repairs to electrical installations and mechanical plant and equipment quality arrangements.
  • Accountable for ensuring that planned maintenance activities are carried out, in compliance with the tasks as set out and Site SOPs, processes, and any adopted procedures.
  • Maintenance of plant and utilities to ensure appropriate and correct operation, to efficiently and reliably operate within specification while ensuring that records are maintained as required by Operational, Regulatory and Statutory practice.
  • Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and hand over works for plant and user equipment.
  • Ensure that all work orders are completed and issued and closed down in full compliance and the Equipment Maintenance System.
  • Initiate and receive Permits to Work in accordance with procedure. Be familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Installation of new equipment as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Building Services Maintenance Contracting Environment carrying out PPM and fault finding on AC systems such as VRF/DX installation experience would be beneficial
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Building Services Maintenance Contracting Environment. FGAS qualified experienced AC engineer with electrical back ground.
  • City and Guilds (old version 207) new version 7189 Part 1 and 2 minimum Refrigeration and AC
  • Mitsubishi VRF heat recovery Course
  • NVQ level 2/3 engineering/apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition IEE wiring Regulations
  • Able to work shifts upon request
  • Weekend & Bank holiday working if needed.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle. Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
  • Subject to call 24 hours per day on a rota and required to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work in other locations at the request of your line manager.
