To provide support to the Adult Education Budget Service Delivery Team and the Quality and Compliance Department ensuring designated Quality Systems are operated in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Job Summary:
Key responsibilities of the Quality & Compliance Officer include:
* To plan, coordinate and implement teaching and assessment observations and quality processes primarily associated with any aspect of the Adult Education Budget delivery.
* To carry out a programme of observations on staff with the intention of rigorously testing the quality of support, learning and assessment delivery.
* To plan your own workload and day to day activities in liaison with the Contract Manager and Quality Manager to ensure an efficient and effective quality assurance process is implemented.
* To undertake a number of observations in relation to IAG sessions, learners interviews and programme monitoring.
* To support management, staff and partners in meeting their targets and delivery and other success measures.
* To provide timely and accurate system reports and information as required by management and external organisations.
* To monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of client contact against defined performance criteria and identify, implement and review actions as required.
* To monitor all external audits and follow up on any actions.
* To conduct client focus groups and report on any issues of concern
* Monitor all learner and employer feedback from survey responses, analyse responses, formulate and monitor actions.
* In association with the Contract Manager, deliver workshops, training and communication to all tutors
The ideal Quality & Compliance Officer will have the below Education / Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent level of knowledge
* Relevant professional qualification
* IQA Qualification (desirable)
Quality & Compliance Officer Experience required:
* Experience and working knowledge of risk management
* Experience of working within a Quality and Compliance role for at least 3 years
* Experience of investigations and analysis
* Experience of Ofsted inspections
* Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse complex facts and situations and develop a range of options
* Experience of report development and writing; ensuring the accuracy of information and effective translation for different audience
Quality & Compliance Officer Knowledge required:
* Demonstrable understanding of the Skills Sector regulatory and compliance frameworks
* Working knowledge of national guidelines and ability to research good practice solutions
* Experience of developing and implementing policies, guidelines and projects.
* Knowledge of current policy in the Skills Sector and how this applies
Quality & Compliance Officer Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication (including presentation) skills, is able to communicate highly complex information that may be difficult to understand to internal and external stakeholders and make presentations to internal and external groups on a regular basis
* Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate concerns, complex / contentious issues in a diplomatic manner that does not offend or escalate
* Proven ability to analyse complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
* Ability to deal with changing priorities, work under pressure, work to tight deadlines and be flexible
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels across the Company and with external stakeholders and committed to teamwork
