The role, Senior Brand Manager - Portfolio & Innovation...

You will be part of the marketing team and will lead the definition and delivery of the growth strategy for selected graze product portfolios (e.g. nuts, cereal bars, front of store) to drive sales in retail channels.

What you'll be responsible for...
  • Driving growth for graze and the category via product portfolio leadership
  • Manage selected graze retail portfolios by tracking performance of existing and new products and making recommendations as needed recommending renovation and optimisation where needed to drive rate of sale and ensure an optimal range architecture
  • Develop and lead graze's product development pipeline for selected product portfolios, owning proposition development for new products and packaging innovation from concept to launch
  • Work cross-functionally to execute new launches, collaborating with supply chain, product development, creative and retail teams
  • Create launch activation plans, including packaging and all launch assets in line with retailer timelines
  • Build and maintain current knowledge and insight into trends, competitors and consumer needs to inform our innovation plans and ensure we are reacting to an ever-evolving market

What we are looking for in you...
  • You've worked in an innovation role within an FMCG food/drink company both large and start up ideally
  • Track record in developing and delivering a long-term innovation pipeline as well as launching new propositions
  • Probably also worked in brand management so has seen other aspects of the marketing mix
  • Able to provide and recommend insights approaches and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Excellent project management skills with an eye for detail and high standards of execution
  • Be independent and resilient to work in a busy and complex environment and have the confidence and maturity to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Natural curiosity and consumer focus, with a keen eye for emerging trends

What we will expect in first 6 months...
  • Assess performance of the existing portfolio, identifying areas to optimise
  • Define the innovation / renovation pipeline for respective product category, including evaluation of current portfolio
  • Deliver product propositions and packaging in collaboration with other functions
  • Build consumer, shopper, competitor and market insight and feed trends into the organisation to drive innovation and brand strategy
  • Build excellent relationships with retail sales team, product development and design teams
