Telecoms Project Manager - FTTP

My Client are planning a major fibre-to-the home build across the East of England, connecting thousands of homes to next generation full fibre infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with experience Telecoms installation ideally with experience of the fibre network. The successful candidate will have good knowledge and self-motivation to achieve the company goals. They will also need to be proactive and adapt to the environment in front of them.

You will be working for a young company that offer great opportunities to grow within the company, gain new skill sets and work on exciting new projects. They have a long-term goal to become the leading broadband network and service provider in the East of England.

You will be working alongside the Project Management team and as the Project Manager will be responsibility for:

·You will be responsible to manage projects and will have full control on completion of each job.
·Ensure the Street works act is adhered too, as well as ensuring Health & Safety standards are met within the team.
·Ensure budgets, plans and statements of works are created, managed and delivered, hitting KPI'S minimising issues and risks.
·Continue to improve methodology and mindset when working on projects within the team.
·Ensure best practice is used when delivering projects, you are working on. E.G fibre/infrastructure delivery projects.
·Ensure the projects you are working on are using structured delivery methods such as Prince2 to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
·You will be responsible to manage internal and external staff to meet agreed objectives.
·Ownership of all the PMO process, procedures and systems to support delivery
·Ensure all QHSE, NRSWA requirements are managed within the project team
·Full management of the Scope of Works, project plans and budgets

The candidate should have proven experience and capability in the following areas:

·Been responsible for previous complex infrastructure projects.
·Project management experience is essential.
·Civils, street works and HSE experience including NSWRA, CDM etc.
·Organised and structure approach to management
·Experience of delivering projects within a time frame, budget and quality.
·Previous experience of third-party contractor management.
·Technical appreciation for different network technology i.e. WDM, fibre, radio etc.
