Are you an experienced Landfill, Warehouse, Site Assistant looking for a new challenge?

We are now looking to recruit a Site Assistant to work at our Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) site in Highbridge.

Site Assistant Responsibilities include:

- Assist facility users in the disposal and segregation of waste and recyclable material.
- Proactively address complaints from site users and resolve if possible.
- Provide a positive customer experience by educating customers in correct segregation of materials.
- Induct contractors and oversee work that is undertaken on HWRC site.
- Ensure authorisations to work and permits to work are completed and issued to relevant tasks.
- Report all accidents and incidents and assist in the investigation to identify root cause.
- Provide leadership in emergency situations whether these are actual incidents or testing.
- Proactively report all near misses and provide practical solutions to prevent reoccurrence if possible.

Our ideal Site Assistant:

- Previous experience within the waste industry
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Basic knowledge of minor construction and repair work that could be needed on HWRC sites.
- Understanding of plant machinery and ability to identify defects.
- Understanding to methods and reasoning for segregation of waste and recycling
- LGV driving licence and Driver CPC qualification
