The Role:
Working with the Procurement Manager lead the Subcontract Management activity in respect of supplier selection, developing and owning sourcing strategies and competitive supply chain engagement, preferred bidder and preferred supplier recommendations, managing route to contract preferred suppliers including: final negotiation of price; schedule; terms and conditions; coordinating statement of work development and managing sub-contract launch / mobilisation and hand off allocated work packages to projects. Working under consultative direction, establish and maintain appropriate reporting and issue/risk management escalation routine and non-routine subcontracts of moderate/high value and complexity. Continuously seek to improve best value for the business.

Main Duties:
- Co-ordinating the development of RFP/RFQ packages ensuring cross functional data/other inputs are secured in a timely manner
- Identifying (approved and non-approved) potential bidders for allocated work packages
- Manage and report on work package route to contract progress
- Develop and present potential innovative Subcontract/supplier selection solutions
- Negotiates Non-Standard Subcontract Agreements and manages non routine issues through senior functional management.
- Identifies and manages risk and opportunity, working collaboratively with subcontractors and other project team members
- Administration of due diligence activity
- Be responsible for work package financial performance against budget
- Demonstrate that the preferred supplier for a given work package is capable and competent to deliver the scope of work
- Produces briefing materials for stakeholders and senior stakeholders
- Supports supplier relationship management initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum of 3-% years in a highly regulated manufacturing supply chain/sub-contract environment
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Demonstrable understanding of dealing with bidder proposals and forming a clear risk assessment/mitigation associated with the preferred bidders) proposals
- Experience of negotiating and changing multiple types of non-standard agreement including the flow down of requirements and the use of Statements of Work
- Strong record of problem solving
- Experience of supplier evaluation and selection

- Experience of collaborative working in a project/matrix organisation
- Experience of dispute resolution
- Strong network of industry/ internal contacts
