Attwood Perks is proud to be partnering with a large, development-focused business in Ipswich who are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager on a permanent basis to lead and deliver a mix of IT and business change projects.

As IT Project Manager you will have solid project experience and be an advocate of Agile working. You will have a strong understanding of business and change management needs with vast exposure to implementing IT projects working across multiple business functions and have the ability to lead and get the best out of different IT teams.

Day to day duties include:
  • Managing a mix of IT projects across the whole enterprise encompassing application development, systems integration, BAU infrastructure upgrades and deployments, operational efficiency improvements and process reengineering;
  • Assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing a schedule to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget;
  • Leveraging technical expertise for project planning, resource management, system/technology/validation, testing and implementation planning;
  • Ownership of work breakdown structure, production of estimates, project plans, finances, risk and contingency, scope management and change control;
  • Liaising with, managing and influencing Key Stakeholders throughout all stages of the project life cycle;

Skills you will ideally have:
  • Managing a range of project types, including software/application development and BAU infrastructure within an agile environment;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different business units and functions;
  • Any qualifications would also be an added bonus - Agile, Prince II, ITIL, APM;
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen;
  • Service related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns and issues;
  • Must work to a high degree of accuracy with good attention to detail, resulting in consistent and quality documentation;
  • An analytical approach to problem solving;
  • Working within a PMO environment, used to working with and delivering to standard governance;
  • Waterfall and Agile methodology knowledge;
  • Excellent stakeholder identification and management, with open and honest communication.

This role is ideally suited to an organised, decisive team player who has the ability to motivate teams to deliver a project on time.
