The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will head a dedicated team to manage all aspects of production control. Core emphasis will focus on developing an effective ERP/MRP led production control environment to ensure accuracy of machine loading and optimisation of material scheduling and cost. To achieve demanding production control targets, you will reduce scrap and rework costs, develop efficiency KPIs including OEE, and participate in TPM activities. By developing the cross functional team, your objectives are to increase the accuracy of order entries and materials receipt, warehousing and inventory control, and production scheduling. By creating and implementing a production control strategy based on world class lean manufacturing, you will adopt continuous improvement philosophies and best people management practice.

The Person

With a relevant engineering or technical qualification you will possess proven production control and culture change success gained with a leading lean manufacturing environment, synonymous with world class manufacturing and ERP/MRP led operations. You will be an influential team manager. A strategist and an implementer, you will be able to gain personal credibility with all internal and external stakeholders. You will thrive in engineering and manufacturing operations that demand expertise in the use of world class production methodology including Kaizen, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.
