SEN Teaching Assistant, Hendon - Immediate start.

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a school which offers specialist provisions for children and young people between the ages of 4 - 16 years old, with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs including Autism. The school has classes of around 12 students and was recently judged to be 'Good' by Ofsted.

Salary: Minimum £75 per day

Location: Hendon

Contract Type: Long Term

Start Date: Immediately

Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)

Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £130 per day

Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm, plus parents' evenings

THE SUCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Experience working with ASD students
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience working in primary and secondary schools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers

THE ROLE WITH CONSIST OF:
  • Supporting the class teacher
  • One to one time with students
  • Following EHC plans for students
  • Keeping a level of focus and discipline to match the ages and abilities of the students in the classroom
  • Building good student - teacher rapport

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
