Ardonagh Group recently acquired Swinton Insurance and formed a division called Atlanta Group that includes Swinton, Carole Nash & Autonet. This has resulted in a huge period of significant change and transformation for all 3 companies.

What to know about this role?

The Category Manager will have full ownership of the Commercial Management strategy for the Atlanta Group. As a Commercial Management Lead you will lead and monitor the Commercial Management Specialists ensuring that their support strategies are aligned with the 5year plan and delivered to the overall organisational objectives and goals.

The main purpose of this role is to:

Design, lead and provide an effective Commercial Management Function focusing on the end to end process from requirement identification through to strategic vendor management ensuring that all strategic vendors are managed efficiently and effectively ensuring maximum value both from operational performance and cost.

Ensure that all internal and external stakeholder relationships are managed to best in class and perform against external benchmarks.

To work alongside the HOD of Property, Facilities and Commercial Management a robust set of KPI's and SLA's that are reported to Exco in line with reporting timetables.

To ensure that the Commercial Management Policy and associated process maps and working documents are uptodate.

Who do you report into?

You will report into the Head of Commercial Management & Facilities for the Atlanta Group.

What projects will you be working on?

The 3 key deliverables will you will work on are:

Driving commercial value across the Atlanta Group
Deliver Savings on a Group budget
Embed Supplier Management processes across the group working with Stakeholders at various levels of seniority.What skills & experience do you require?

Extensive experience of tendering, developing and managing various expenditure categories (with a strong emphasis on I.T.) including drafting, negotiating and agreeing legal contracts.

Strong project management experience.

Proven experience of developing high level Procurement strategy and its execution.

Strong knowledge of the supplier market in relation to the category expenditure areas managed within I.T. and other categories including Facilities, H.R., Marketing plus a number of others.

Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Strong relationship building skills (internal and external).

Exceptional Communication Skills with the ability to converse and influence at all levels of the business both internally and externally.

Excellent presentation skills.

Excellent decision-making skills.

Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.

Computer literate and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Outlook and Word.
