We specialise in vertically integrated solutions from semiconductors, to IMAs/MFAs, to subsystems and equipment-level solutions, working on exciting and highly complex programmes spanning electronic warfare, military communications, radar, aerospace, and commercial wireless and telecom solutions.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineering Manager with strong leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Production Engineering team and establishing and delivering agreed Continuous Improvement plans to drive the Milton Keynes Productivity Funnel.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Responsible for establishing measures for current state of key products and business processes, and defining improvement activities focussed on achieving agreed productivity targets

* Head cross-functional Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to drive process change, monitoring and reporting CI project progress

* Day-to-day Management of the Production Engineering team to ensure all key tasks within the group are covered, ensuring equipment and processes are maintained to support manufacturing targets, and development projects have required Production Engineering input

* Manage Production Engineering input into new product designs ensuring a focus on manufacturability, and control the transition of new products into manufacturing ensuring TMC objectives are delivered

* Provide guidance for microelectronics manufacturing processes, ensuring team track external developments and identify new techniques for exploitation by the business

About you

You will ideally have the relevant degree or HNC in Engineering. You will be a good people manager and have experience of managing multi-disciplined teams including process and production engineers and third party stakeholders. You will have experience in using Computer Aided Design, automated equipment and New Product Introduction (NPI) / Continuous Improvement experience. The successful candidate will have excellent planning and organisational skills and good written skills and the ability to communicate cohesively with all levels within the organisation and externally. You will enjoy working as part of a team with good communication skills and have an enthusiastic approach to work.
