THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are working with our large national client to recruit a PR & Content Manager to join the marketing team. We're looking for suitably experience PR professional with strong content writing skills to provide an internal PR agency experience for other national offices around the UK. The role is conveniently located and easily commutable for candidates in Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley, Selby, Hull and surrounding areas.

THE JOB:

The job involves delivering a full 360 degree PR service to regional offices around the country, acting as an internal Account Manager. We're looking for someone able to maintain brand presence and guidelines, raising the profile of the company with key regional and trade publications. Media relations and copywriting are a key part of this role, as is the ability to recognise a newsworthy story and to build relationships with trade press contacts. We're also looking for someone who can manage a social media agency with a strong understanding of how social media can help the company with its media coverage aims.

Areas of responsibility will include:
  • Planning, managing and delivering proactive media relations campaigns to increase the brand profile
  • Attending bi-monthly meetings with all 10 regional teams across the UK to develop, manage and deliver PR Content plans
  • Drafting PR materials including news releases, media alerts, status reports and other related materials
  • Ability to create and capture content for social media and online purposes
  • Drafting blog content to be featured on the company website
  • Achieving regular high-quality coverage for the company
  • Effectively responding to and escalate crisis and issues PR as needed
  • Building journalist relationships - key trade, regional and national press
  • Work with the Comms & Marketing Director to develop and implement the external Group Communications strategies and with drafting internal comms when required
  • Managing a social media agency and liaising with other 3rd party agencies as required
  • Monitoring media coverage and enquiries disseminating information to relevant team members and management teams
  • Reading the key trade titles and suggesting relevant features for the business to contribute to
  • Actively pursuing new media outlets to gain further brand coverage

This role is based in Doncaster with frequent weekly travel to regional offices around the UK.

THE PERSON:

To be successful in your application you need to be able to demonstrate:

· Previous experience of working in a PR Agency, journalistic experience or for a busy press office

· A full understanding of the UK media landscape and the principles that sit behind developing and delivering communications plans to protect and enhance brand and reputation

· Significant experience of dealing with all forms of media and a track record of delivering successful communications strategies

· First class written and verbal communications skills

· An understanding of the B2B media landscape is essential

· That you are articulate, energetic and self-motivated

· Proven track record in social media content creation and/or social media content management

· Experience of developing and implementing communication plans, strategies, campaign and projects.

· An understanding of large, complex organisations.
  • An understanding of the construction industry is desirable
  • · Understanding of what makes engaging social media content

    · Ability to edit videos/images

    · Basic understanding of Google Analytics and social media channels analytics

  • · Ability to edit and create visual content for website and social media channels (not essential, but desired)
