Service Charge Accountant - Residential Block - London. Our Client are a Property Management company based in Central London, and now seek a Service Charge Accountant to join their dynamic and vibrant team.

The Role will be responsible for the following:
  • Posting any tenant recharges that need to be recovered.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations.
  • Setting up and maintaining owner, Property, Unit and Tenants.
  • Ensuring RICS/ARMA Service Charge Residential Management Code is adhered to.
  • Producing Budget vs Actuals/financial reporting for all clients either quarterly or half yearly.
  • Responsible for year-end account distribution.
  • Raising fees within the bluebook and recharging to clients.
  • Running, raising and distributing annual budgets.
  • Running periodic demands and distributing them to clients.
  • Liaising with Clients regarding any financial queries.
  • Responsible for daily banking/processing of cheques.
  • Carrying out Company Secretarial duties as and when required, including updates to Companies House.
  • Providing external accountants with relevant documentation and calculations for service charge year end.
  • Calculating accruals and Prepayments.
  • Reconciling Service Charge Year Ends.

The Person: To apply, you MUST have a good understanding of leasehold property accounts as well as experience in producing service charge accounts. The successful candidate will be literate in Excel and will have solid experience using both MRI, QUBE or YARDI. You must be strong interpersonally and work well independently.
