Our client is a Banbury based supplier of building products. Due to expansion within the team, they are looking to appoint a diligent and driven Branch Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an award winning, family-run company. The successful candidate will be passionate about people and well-versed in increasing branch sales.

Main responsibilities:
  • Increasing branch sales- handling customer enquiries at the trade counter, over the phone and via the website, ensuring every sales opportunity is met.
  • Promoting full range of products that are available to guarantee all customers are purchasing to full potential.
  • Organising demonstration days and promotional events.
  • Managing stock availability to optimise sales opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Monitoring stock portfolio, merchandising and POS.
  • Focusing on branch efficiency and optimising delivery runs. Developing employees through ongoing training and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Attending meetings, training sessions and external courses.
  • Ensuring Customer Relations Management, creating strong trading partnership through maintaining contact via phone or visiting customer premises as required.
  • Understanding the Company Charter and maintaining company values.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Thorough understanding of stock management.
  • Previous people management experience within a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a customer-focussed attitude.
  • Driven and wanting to feel ownership for a branch.
  • Knowledge of the building industry is highly advantageous although not essential.
  • Ability to meet / exceed targets as well as training / motivating others to hit theirs.

Additional Information:

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 until 16:30 and alternate Saturday mornings 08:30 until 12noon.
