We need you to help us do this.Why this role mattersAs the Network Solutions & Fibre Delivery Finance Business Partner within Service Delivery, you'll be responsible for a UK-wide operational organization of 13 Senior Area Managers who are responsible for delivering FTTP and maintaining the health of the network. You'll have accountability for the costs associated with c 2,000 NS FTE, plus additional FTTP FTE (number TBC), as well as supporting delivery of c£100m of investment.What you'll be doingBusiness Partner 13 Network Solutions & FTTP Senior Area Managers, using easy to digest insight in Regional Director patch performance on monthly basis, driving actions and improvements in collaboration with the Senior Area ManagerSupporting the implementation of the UK Operations strategy by working with the team to provide insights and key reports, aligned to the FP&A strategy for Service DeliveryWork with stakeholders to develop a greater understand of resourcing requirements v demand across the Network Solutions teams to aid with improved budgeting & forecastingProvide solutions and recommendations for improvements and initiatives that will aide better working practices and drive bottom line resultsInterrogate and analyse key adverse variances and conduct root cause analysis where applicableConduct regular performance reviews against targets with Senior Area ManagersSeek out cost transformation opportunities, developing solutions and delivering the benefits. Be an enabler for changeShare best practice with the other finance partners and the wider Service Delivery Finance TeamSupport and help improve accurate finance & operational management weekly and monthly reports with offshore/Central teams i.e. open estimatesImprove understanding and impact of financial reporting on performance of the business unitSteward, lead and partner with the business, to ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with, and in the spirit of, local legislative requirements, and enhance and protect BT for now and the futureAssurance and risk management - role holder expected to control risks and opportunities across regional P&L, actively (i) mitigating risks, (ii) driving opportunities, (iii) driving profit protection initiativesExpected to present analysis/findings to Directors & SLT members (both in/out of finance) as required & provide ad-hoc analysis and information for Exec meetings, OR & BURs in an accurate & timely mannerDriving and supporting creation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgetResponsible for control on key business risks and controls in the businessWe'll also need to see these on your CVExperience of positively influencing business performance by using data, commentary and analysis to inform decision makingStrategic thinker with proven experience driving daily concepts to deliver longer term vision with the ability to cut through barriers to bring real clarity and focus to delivering for our customersPragmatic team player, adept at holding others to account through a challenging and supportive leadership style, whilst consistently delivering on their own commitmentsAn ability to matrix-manage cross-business teams to complex and multi-phase solutions (across technology, commercial, product and process design, network design and build)Advisor and coach to others both within own team and elsewhere, formulates their operational guidelines or in-depth knowledge and advises on specialist areaFinancial authority on new business opportunities and investments.
