Multi-branch firm in Nottinghamshire requires a Court of Protection Lawyer on a full-time, permanent basis.

Managing your own caseload involving the full remit of Court of Protection matters, this is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive to join a firm renowned for its expertise in mental capacity and welfare issues.


Challenging deprivations of liberty authorised under the Mental Capacity Act
Working with public bodies such as the NHS and social services
Court of Protection disputes
Medical treatment and care decisions
Challenging the appointment of a deputy under a lasting power of attorney or an enduring power of attorney
Care costs contribution or NHS continuing healthcare
The Candidate

Solicitor with minimum of 2 years' PQE in Court of Protection matters
Solid expertise in all aspects of mental capacity law is required
Taking a proactive approach, you will demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Skilled at working well within a team
An empathetic approach to the needs of clients, their family members and other concerned parties
