Currently a Team Leader or Senior Support Worker looking for your next move within care? Want to work for an Award winning charity who support poeple with learning disabilities? We have a fantastic opportunity now open for a Front Line Manager to join our team in Ampthill.


MacIntyre was established just over fifty years ago and is now a successful charity supporting over 1,500 people around the country who have a learning disability, autism and/or mental health difficulties.

You will recruit and supervise your staff, encouraging and developing them so they can provide the best possible assistance and support. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, you will develop and implement support plans bespoke to each individual.

About our facility

We run a small Supported Living facility located in Ampthill. The people we support here are all gentlemen aged in their 40's and 50's, quite independent and with a variety of different interests. We support them with the everyday things around their homes, such as cooking and cleaning, as well as leisure activities, education opportunities and skills for personal development.

People we support at this service enjoy attending Football matches, concerts, circuses, air shows and college. We support them to go on holidays, day trips and evenings out. You'll help the men to learn new skills, enabling them to become more independent and take control of their lives.

Although you will work core hours, some degree for flexibility will be required to meet the needs and demands of the service, and you will need to be a visible presence across the shifts.

What we need from you

You will need relevant experience working with people who have complex needs. Perhaps you're a team leader or senior support worker looking to take the next step in your career. You'll combine practical organisational skills with the ability to lead and inspire your team, plus provide hands-on support.

It is essential that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, together your own transport.
