About the job

The successful Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Class Teacher within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

·To work with individual children and groups under the direction of the class teacher

·Monitoring children's work and using a range of strategies to support their learning

·Provide feedback on children's progress to parents and relevant professionals
  • Promote independence and positive attitudes towards learning

·Support the Class Teacher with organising the classroom

·Attend school trips

·Share responsibility for pupils' welfare and pastoral care

·Follow school behaviour polices

You will need to have resilience and be confident in working with children and young people with emotional and behaviour difficulties.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be able to del with aggression and emotionally damaged young people in a non-judgemental way.


·Classroom experience within the 9-17 year age range

·Experience of working with young people who have significant emotional needs

·Valid Right to work in the UK

·2 Satisfactory References

·DBS Registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
