ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will farm and share news from across the Global Business the international ensuring all geographies have a voice and are visible to the entire Group.

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

·The position will be responsible for communicating news about and from around the UK (and other international markets as required), utilising the central and local communication tools. It is envisaged that the role will liaise with stakeholders to develop and write content which will help associates (colleagues) better understand the propositions and developments within markets.

·The role will be supported by the Head of Communications and another UK-based Internal Communications Consultant.

·This role recognises associate advocacy is an important part of the Group's commercial success and will help generate visibility of all work internally.

·Bringing the business to life, ensuring associate engagement and understanding of the Business.

·Responsible for helping design and deliver a comprehensive internal communications strategy and programme of activity, assisted by the Head of Communications and existing Internal Communications Consultant.

·Bring to life internal communications vision to create an inspiring associate experience in which trusted managers are accountable for leading and empowering their associates through transparency, flexibility and support

·Responsible for engaging key stakeholders

·Identifying and delivering key stories and news from across the UK (and international markets where required)

·Utilising multiple technology platforms (e.g. intranet and specialist email distribution tools)

·Design and evaluate key success metrics working alongside other business functions

·Work with other teams and specialists across Marketing (e.g. design, videography, events etc.)

·Be able to adopt the brand voice and techniques including storytelling, associate spotlights and consumer first approach

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential:
  • Advanced proficiency internal communications and associate (colleague) advocacy/change programmes
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing sills
  • Flexible and able to evaluate, adopt and implement new technologies and processes
  • Ability to work across variety of teams and disciplines (including different cultures and time zones if needed)
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong and accurate use of English: written and verbal
  • Excellent planning, organising and presentation skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Team player

Experience
  • Experience of working in large and complex businesses, able to cut across functions, joining the dots and bringing teams of colleagues (associates) together
  • Ideally you will have several years' experience in a communications discipline, preferably within the technology, data, analytics or financial services arena
  • Excellent communication skills; with the ability to advise and influence senior management, develop productive and collaborative relationships with associates across a wide range of disciplines and geographies
  • Experience with directly planning, implementing and managing internal communications programmes
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple time zones
  • Capably understand and implements best practices in all aspects of internal communications
  • Not afraid to suggest new ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Flexible and able to implement new programmes as internal communications evolves
