Our client is based in Isleworth, Middlesex and has developed their expertise into the Aerospace, Medical and Measurement industries. Primarily a speciality gear cutting manufacturing company that has expanded their capability and engineering knowledge to aid growth and market expansions.

The CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator
  • This role will be to write programmes (on and off the machine), perform setups and operate CNC mills manufacturing precision parts.
  • You will play an integral role in proving out and implementing new production methods, driving continuous improvement and efficient work methods as well as guiding other operators in the machining of products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To program and set CNC machines to manufacture precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • To implement new production methods, using the latest computer technology to improve cost efficiency and ensure continuous improvement.
  • To work according to tight schedules and follow strict quality control and precise guidelines as outlined in AS 9100 or ISO 9001 and as per supplier requirements.
  • Identify and report drawing errors to line manager and recommend corrections to ensure the timely completion of the job.
  • Ensure all production process work is recorded upon the inspection route cards including quantity accepted, rejected and scrap.
  • Ensure there is a "First Off" inspection check before commencing operation.

Skills and abilities required:
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
  • Working with a quality system such as AS 9100 or ISO 9001:2008 environment.
  • Proficiency in Computer Programming (CNC) and basic IT systems.
  • Knowledge of programming (Fanuc) for Haas machines.
  • Flexible and supportive.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Works to tight tolerances and produces machine parts to high specification and quality.
  • BTEC in Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • Experience as a CNC Setter, Programmer and Operator with CAD / CAM programming knowledge.
  • Experience working on CNC Mills.

Duration Permanent

Hours 40 hours a week

Times 7.00am - 16.00pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break

(Flexible) 7.30am - 16.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break

8.00am - 17.00pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break

7.00am - 13.00pm Friday with no lunch break

7.30am - 13.30pm Friday with no lunch break

Overtime All overtime is paid at 'Time & Third' and is available:

Holiday 25 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays

Benefits Pension - you pay 3% and the company matches it with 3%, making 6% in total
