Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity working as a 2nd line Support Engineer to be based in Woodstock?

The role involves managing workstations, servers (hosted and on premise), cloud services, networks, firewalls, communications systems and other IT-related equipment. You will need to provide technical assistance to the company initiatives and awareness of developing trends and new products available on the market.

The Key Elements of the Job
  • 2nd Line ICT customer support - travel to customer sites
  • Supervising a small team of engineers
  • Project and Infrastructure implementation
  • Azure, Exchange and Server (hosted and On-Premises) - installation, upgrades, support and maintenance
  • Virtual computing - VMWare, Hyper-V - implementation and support
  • Firewall configuration and support
  • Office 365 - Teams and Skype for Business implementation
  • Network Infrastructure implementation and support
  • Hosted VoIP Unified Comms implementation and support.
  • Investigation of internet problems and failures and installation of equipment
  • Liaison with External Suppliers
  • Explain product use and operation to End Users
  • Creation & Updating of Site Documentation and Support Requests.
  • Specify, build and configure hardware and software as required
  • Trial and assess new software and services
  • Advise on all aspects of IT including technical and legal

Skills and Experience
  • Degree Level or similar qualification
  • 4 Years relevant ICT experience
  • 4 years' experience in a commercial IT support role, providing IT support to varied organisations
  • Demonstrable experience in direct IT support for a range of organisations or applications
  • Substantial experience of MS Windows and Office, both previous and current versions
  • Detailed understanding of networking and firewall setup and operation
  • In Depth Experience with cloud services, in particular Office365 in the SME arena
  • Ability to undertake fault diagnosis of a range of IT equipment and familiarity with various diagnostic tools
  • Good Experience of VoIP technology
