Payroll Manager, Edinburgh, £25 per hour

Your new company
Hays Accountancy and Finance is partnered with a construction company based in Edinburgh. Our client is looking for a professional and ambitious Payroll Manager on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months, with the potential for extension.

Your new role
To coordinate, direct and control payroll and the subcontractor processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager your duties will include:

? Maintains payroll information by collection, calculation and entering for data
? Manage Payroll Workload to meet operation requirements
? Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
? Oversee the compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
? Management of biometrics system for Hours and Holidays
? Manual Holiday pay calculations
? Prepare and Maintain Labour Reports
? Full Payroll Reconciliations
? Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory
requirements
? Support audits in payroll
? Interpret and understand payroll legislation
? Manage and resolve payroll issues
? Maintaining Payroll Records
? Preparation of Salary Journals
? Weekly Wages Costings
? Subcontractor valuation processing
? Subcontractor payments
? Subcontractor month end reporting
? Processing of employees' mileage and expense claims
? Preparation and Management of Payroll Related deductions
? Pension Schedules
? Plumbers Holiday Pay
? Arrestments
? Union Dues
? Charity Donations
? Childcare Invoice
? Preparation and Management of Statutory deductions
? PAYE
? NI
? SMP
? Apprenticeship Levy
? Subcontractor PAYE
? Prepare P11D's and calculate company payments
? Calculate payroll related accruals and monitor to actual
? Check coding notices and advise employees

What you'll need to succeed
? Payroll qualification preferred or qualified by experience
? Minimum 5 years' experience working in payroll
? Industry experience preferred and knowledge of subcontractor process
? Strong communication, organisation and management skills
? Experience on Navision preferred but not essential
? Excel skills intermediate
