Summary of Product Specialist

This Product Manager role is based in a global brand in the North Surrey area. The overall purpose of the role is to make decisions that impact directly on business goals whilst utilising analysis and interpretation skills to drive commercial value from data.

Key duties of Product Specialist

* The Product Specialist will be the product expert of Tablets, Wearables, Audio & Accessory product groups supporting knowledge requirement across the business both internally & externally.

* The product expert ensures that technologies are understood and promoted as customer relevant benefits.

* The product evangalist translates the get product USPs and benefits into the Product Plan, describing key product benefits vs the competition and aligning the heirarchy of these benefits to the customer and shopper insight as agreed by the Head of Tablet & ME Products PM

* Prepare and deliver product training focusing on translating technologies into easily understood concepts pre and post launch

* The PE will work closely with the product, sales, marketing and training teams to co-ordinate technical assistance with product positioning for target, planning purposes, and launch deliverables.

* Support the business at various events including press, launch and customer events

* Ownership of the Tablet & MEP product roadmap ensuring it is kept accurate and up-to-date & communicated accordingly, managing the lifecycle updates in various internal meetings.

* Create the storyline, insight, preparation and sell in presentations of product roadmaps and product benefits externally, driving excitement to range Tablet & MEP Products with key retail & operator accounts

* Monthly portfolio & Quarterly portfolio roadmap updates with all key accounts

* Ensure feedback from channels is filtered through to the relevant internal stakeholders and use initiative to ensure actions are fed through to the relevant internal stakeholders.

* Support and help maintain competitor comparisons for entire Tablet & MEP product range

* Develop and maintain product one-page documents that can be used by account managers as necessary

* Use product knowledge and internal systems to support Go To Market launch readiness such as customer product set-ups, ranging management USP substantiation, feature hierarchy priority setting, distribution of FABs, PVI data and in-depth competitor analysis

* Work with the internal training team to develop flagship sell-in knowledge decks and support internal launches

* Proofreading and approval of product content of all central and local deliverables

Key Attributes of Product Specialist

* Commercial Product Management Experience

* Proposition development & execution experience

* Product Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitude

* Educated to degree level or equivalent

* Good skills in Microsoft office packages

* Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

* Strong numeracy/commercial acumen
