1st Line Support Analyst - Wakefield

£18,000 - £20,000/year (plus time and a half pay for on-call - 1 weekend in every 4)

I'm working with a well-known retail organisation based just outside Wakefield who require a 1st Line Support Engineer. The role would be working as part of a busy Service Desk team providing technical support to the IT team and end users on a range of systems.

  • Receive calls from users in relation to any technical incident or request
  • Accurate logging of helpdesk submissions in to the Support Desk ITSM tool
  • Preliminary investigation of all requests via telephone, email or remote admin tools, resolving or escalating as necessary using generic fault-finding techniques
  • Installation of Software packages and registration of applications
  • Maintaining Asset Details of all IT equipment
  • Installation of IT Hardware and Software
  • Building and Configuration of Desktops, Laptops, Mobile Phones
  • Administration of general IT activities, including documentation

Skills/Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in an IT Support/First Line Support role
  • ITIL Certified (desirable) or knowledge of ITIL standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience of Active Directory and Office365 Administration
  • Experience of end point builds and support - MAC, Laptop, Desktop, Tablets, Mobile Phones, Printers
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
