The purpose of this role is to support young people, aged from 15 to 17 years, participate in activities which will aid their transition to adulthood. A specific programme called the National Citizen Service (NCS), has been made to complement this role.

Some of the responsibilities will include, but aren't limited;

-Book and conduct initial meetings with lead contacts such as head teachers to introduce the NCS programme.

-Presenting the NCS programme to all possible recruitment sites such as year 11 /12 assemblies or parent evenings.

-Delivering a range of "follow-up Events" such as open day stands, lunch time stands etc, providing additional information to young people and/or their parent guardians.

- Identifying key contacts in schools and colleges who are in a position to invite NCS team in for recruitment and promotional purposes.

- Promoting NCS and the wider social, pastoral and educational benefits of the programme effectively to different audiences.

- Carrying out regular keeping in touch activities, with all stakeholders, both by telephone and in person

- Work with schools and other recruitment source organisations to create tailored recruitment plans

To make success of this position, you will need to;

- Have excellent face-to-face group selling and/or public speaking skills.

- Excellent telephone manner.

- Positively sell features and benefits of a programme in an engaging manner.

- Strong communication and relationship building skills.

Essential requirements:

- Previous experience working in a highly targeted, results driven role.

- A minimum of 2 A- Levels or an equivalent level 3 diploma.

- GCSE English Language at a minimum of a grade B (Or equivalent Level 2 qualification) OR Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.

Full time, permanent role in Watford.

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000.
