One of our prestigious university clients in London is looking for a temporary member of staff to carry out a dual role of IT support and customer service.

Summary of duties:

* A good knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals, including experience of resolving hardware problems and installing hardware

* Good knowledge of 32-bit / 64-bit operating systems including Windows 10, Windows 7 and Mac OS

* An understanding of the principles of TCP/IP networking

* Demonstrable knowledge of computer security issues

* Experience of providing IT support to colleagues or customers

* Confidence in using information technology across a range of software applications and devices and readiness to acquire new skills as required for the role

* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues at all levels within UCL

* Ability to prioritise and schedule own workload in the face of conflicting demands

* Commitment to excellent customer service, both to colleagues from other teams and to service users

* Excellent attention to detail; ability to maintain accurate records

* Ability to show initiative in solving problems

* Ability to work individually and as part of a team: able to work towards common goals and to take on, share and relinquish tasks as appropriate and necessary
