Finance Manager

A new role has been created through business expansion to manage the accounting function of a privately-owned SME. It will provide support to the Head of Finance with improved processes, more efficient reporting and robust accounting for the business.

The key accountabilities for the role:

Management of month end process
Monthly P&L analytical review to identify areas of risk
Ownership of month end balance sheet reconciliations
Establish cost centre cost reporting
VAT, Intrastat, Customs duty and other tax reporting processes
Management of stock valuation including stock reporting and stock count data, identifying any valuation concerns
Establish a methodology to analyse costs associated with the manufacturing process
Preparation and monitoring of budgets, business plan and forecasts
Financial modelling and analysis
Establishment of new processes for the system
Candidates should have experience of working within a manufacturing / physical product driven business to bring a skillset relating to stock. Managing the month end process to P&L and supervising a small team will also be required. Exposure to cloud-based ERP system would be beneficial. Part qualified or Qualified by Experience, you will be a logical decision maker, a self-starter with good attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
