Trainee Stair lift Field Service Engineer

We are currently assisting our client, one of the biggest stair lift manufacturers in Europe, with the search for new Field Service Engineers to join their operation. We are looking to introduce individuals with experience in mechanical and electrical engineering who are looking to put their skills into use for a great company with excellent career prospects.

Our client is at the forefront of their sector, manufacturing stair lifts and other mobility equipment for a huge network of mobility installation and service companies. Our client also manufacture, install and service directly for private customers and local authorities.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee Stair lift engineer you will be given full training on the installation and service of mobility devices manufactured by our client, equivalent to an NVQ Level 2. Following the formal training you will then receive on the job training and side by side mentoring until you are able to work alone. This process normally averages 12 weeks, with this being extended or shortened depending on the individual. Once completed you will be given your own company vehicle and tools and will be responsible for the installation of Stair lifts in both private and local authority owned residences, within the Berkshire area.

What You'll Need

You will need to have the following skills:
  • Proven electro-mechanical engineering work experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good communication skills as you will be facing the general public daily.
  • Field Based experience is desirable but not essential.
  • NVQ Level Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
