Our client is a leading supplier of designer home and lifestyle products. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their head office in Barnet.

  • To efficiently action and maintain purchase ledger and sales ledger processes and payments to the required standard and deadlines.
  • To meet and exceed efficiency targets as agreed with your line manager.
  • To provide the highest levels of service to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • To provide an efficient service and maintain supplier and customer accounts to the required standard.
  • To authorise and process purchase ledger invoices ensuring the correct prices and discounts are received.
  • To assist in accurately preparing and recording payments and receipts, maximising available settlement discounts through prompt payments and general payments by the due date.
  • Action supplier, customer and colleague enquiries and queries quickly and efficiently or refer to immediate line manager if unable to assist.
  • To organise and prioritise own work requirements to meet required deadlines.
  • Complete and maintain systems for filing and other related administration.
  • Assist the Accounts Manager in updating procedures to improve team performance.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
  • Review performance with immediate line manager to improve and maintain performance and continue self-development.
  • Liase and develop efficient and productive working relationships with other staff, departments and managers.
  • Responsible for presenting a consistently clean, tidy and professional appearance and attitude.
  • Undertake a proactive and responsible approach to the health, safety and welfare of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors to the branch.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as requested by your line manager or any member of the senior management team.

The successful candidate will be a friendly team player looking for a new opportunity with a leading supplier who can offer stability and a supportive working environment. A stable work history with relevant Accounts Administration experience is essential along with intermediate MS office skills and an organised easy going nature.

The hours are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
