Becoming a Technical Author with Pay360:

The successful candidate will join an existing and experienced team working in several locations across the UK and with several offshore teams, so a willingness to travel between offices will be required to get the best from this role. You will work closely as part of the product team, the development team and other business stakeholders.

You will be responsible for producing documentation for our applications, ranging from user guides to technical integration specifications, in a variety of formats

What you will do:
  • Working with the product owner, produce customer facing guides for business application users, in appropriate language for the audience. These should not only describe the functionality but provide context and examples of use.
  • Working with the Product Owners, Solutions Architects and Developers, produce technical documents such as systems requirements, high-level technical overviews and interface specifications.
  • Publish documents in a variety of formats as appropriate, such as PDF or help files
  • Produce short screen-capture videos to illustrate specific functionality or concepts
  • Manage and maintain a SharePoint site to provide online information and guides for stakeholders within the business and a repository for documentation that you and others have created.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Launch to provide content for marketing and sales activities

Your experience will include:

Essential
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience in producing customer facing user guides
  • Experience in producing technical documents
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
  • Good eye for detail, layout and presentation

Desirable
  • Knowledge of payment or financial applications
  • Experience of Swagger API tools
  • Experience of Help+Manual, Movavi, Acrobat Pro DC, WordPress and Drupal
