Following several years of double-digit growth, a successful family-owned business who believe in providing cost-effective solutions that give our customers the opportunity to reduce their impact on the environment is looking to recruit a Sales & Marketing Director to join the team.

The business manufacture some of their own branded products as well as sell products that compliment their brand online and via marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. There is also a network of resellers also lists their products that they either supply directly or via a dropship model straight to their customers.

Following several years of double-digit growth, we are looking for a Sales & Marketing Director to join our team.

The purpose of the role is to lead the sales and marketing for the business. The successful candidate will drive performance and growth with responsibility for marketing strategy and sales plans.

As a Sales & Marketing Director, you will be expected to improve sales performance and the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising activity. You will be required to lead and motivate your team identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities as Sales & Marketing Director:
  • Develop, implement and manage the sales and marketing strategy, plan and activity across B2C and B2B markets
  • Liaise and work closely with external agencies, SEO, web development, PPC, Social Media, PR etc
  • Plan, implement and manage marketing and lead generation campaigns and measure results
  • Develop and maintain a consistent corporate image and ensure that all brands are well communicated across all channels
  • Manage all social media channels, strategy and activity
  • Responsible for the creation of marketing materials
  • Ensure all websites are kept up to date
  • Develop, implement and manage sales forecasting activities, targets, sectors, markets, territories and set performance goals to achieve company objectives
  • Prepare and present sales reports detailing sales, potential sales and areas of proposed customer base and product expansion
  • Review and analyse sales performance against plans/targets to determine the effectiveness
  • Monitor prepare and report on marketing communications and sales activity
  • Manage, motivate and give direction to the eCommerce and customer service departments/teams
  • Lead staff training and performance evaluations
  • Identify and understand target markets/sectors to develop marketing and sales campaigns
  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budget
  • Coordinate liaison between sales and marketing and other departments

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • A degree in marketing, communications, business administration, advertising or another related field is required
  • A proven track record in eCommerce, marketing and sales
  • Experience of eBay, Amazon or other marketplaces
  • Experience of Magento, Brightpearl, Channel Advisor, and stock management system, MailChimp or other email marketing system, Web Gains or other affiliate networks
  • Knowledge of SEO best practice
  • Ability to develop, manage and implement sales and marketing strategies and plans
  • Ability to manage and push through projects from start to completion in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of a wide range of eCommerce, sales and marketing techniques and concepts
